To our Church Family at Fishersville Baptist Church
  1. The Church will be reopening the Sunday Morning Worship Service ONLY from May 24, 2020.  The service will commence at 10:00am. NO other meetings or services will take place in the church building.
  2. Numerous safety measures have been put in place to ensure your safety and be compliant with state law, the governor’s orders and recommendations from the CDC:
    1. People attending the service must sit at least 6 feet apart at all times and practice social distancing.  Family members in the same household may be seated together.  The pews will be marked accordingly. Please don’t forget to maintain social distancing on arrival and in the parking lot as well.
    2. No one with a fever or symptoms of COVID-19, or known exposure to a COVID-19 case in the prior 14 days, is permitted in the church building
    3. It is recommended that church goers wear face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times as per the CDC guidelines.
    4. Please understand that no handshakes will be done in greeting one another.
    5. Hymnals, Bibles and other items in the pews that are shared will be removed at this time. Hymn lyrics and Bible readings will be displayed on the PowerPoint, and tithe envelopes will be available at the entrance to the Sanctuary.
    6. As no items are to be passed to or between church goers, there will be no bulletins.  Tithes and offerings can be dropped in the offertory plates at the entrance of the Sanctuary before the service or as you leave.
    7. Hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial soap will be provided.
    8. There will be no Nursery available at this time.
    9. All interior and exterior doors will remain open during the service to limit touching of door handles.
    10. Only the front Sanctuary entrance is to be used.  No other doors around the church may be used to access the church by service attendees.
    11. The Sanctuary and bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly prior to the service.
    12. The choir is suspended at this time.  This includes practices and singing on Sunday morning. Only one person may be on duty in the Sound Room at a time.  Please speak to Lauren or Kevin for more details.
    13. For those unable to attend the service, you can receive a recorded copy on CD upon request.  Please email requests to fvillebaptist@gmail.com, or call or text Lauren on 540-630-1286.  There is no charge for these CDs, they are completely FREE.
  3. Sunday School leaders are asked to ensure this information is received by all in their classes and assist with any questions or concerns.
  4. Please continue to support and encourage one another, especially those who may still be unable to meet together.  Pray for each other, and for the church leadership as decisions are made regarding the reopening of the church and keeping the Church Family safe.
  5. Tithes and offerings can continue to be sent in by mail to the Church at PO Box 82, Fishersville VA 22939.
  6. With the commencement of the service, counting will resume on a weekly basis with the same safety precautions.  No schedule will be made at this time, Brenda Taylor will contact you individually as needed.
  7. “Pray At Home” will continue to take place every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm.  Prayer Requests can be submitted throughout the week, either by email, voicemail, on our website, or private message on Facebook.  Just before 6:30pm, a prayer list will be sent out by email and posted on the Facebook Group page.  We are encouraging you to pray corporately, united in common prayer, from your homes. Pray for our church individually and corporately at 6:30 p.m., when we would usually meet. Pray for individuals within the church, the church as a whole, as well as our country.
  8. The Food Pantry operations will continue as they have been.  If you or someone you know is in need of assistance from the Food Pantry, or if you would like to make a donation, please contact the Church Office.
